Good call Rouguish! Charge!!!!! hahahaha
Anyway, as promised I've got some screenies! And hurray for no harsh judging as Kit said! lol
Anyway, each of my characters sort of follows their own storyline. Every time I create one, I have some sort of story idea for them. This one is about Ardnek Mysticeyes (but I changed her name to be more "princessy") . All of my characters look pretty much the same. hehe But anyway, this one spelled princess to me because of the jewels in her hair. I picture this being many years later, as she is one of the princesses of Vabbi. She lives in the Halls of Chokhin (two other princesses live in the other places but I won't get into those hehe). She's the reincarnation of my main character, Tender Wolf. As such, she harbors a strong desire to fight for what she believes in but as a princess, everyone fears for her safety. This picture is based on the last assignment, where the contestants wrote a story about a picture they took. If I had any money I'd have given this princess Vabbian armor. But I might yet! hehe Oh, and let me just say, yes pets are stubborn to work with, especially with emotes.
And this probably isn't anywhere near as good as the contestant's, but I had to try. If I do have a talent, I do consider it to be writing. lol And I do have a more detailed story (just a little different in some ways, as I wrote it for fun) if you want to read it as well. If so, you can PM me if you'd like and I'll be happy to send it to you. I've taken lots of random screenshots for fun as well that can go with it. hehe Enjoy!
Story:
A princess no longer, Caria abided by her father's wishes that he'd given her with his dying breath. She fled Vabbi to save herself, and to fulfill her own destiny. Discovering that she is the reincarnation of Tender Wolf, who was originally from Ascalon of Tyria, Caria decided to make the long and hard trek to Tender Wolf's homeland.
Her Vabbian attire ripped and ragged from her journey, offering hardly any protection against her enemies, Caria summoned all her strength to defend herself. With her trusty pet Midnight by her side, her life was extended, but so was her journey. But she now considered herself to be free. Her journey was even more tedious and difficult as she came across the cold Shiverpeak Mountains. Her only warmth came from a fire, a cave for which she would rest for the night, Midnight, and the hope of knowing she would soon feel wanted, loved, and respected for who she truly was. In her heart, Caria was not a princess, but a woman destined for great things, someone to protect those she cared about. So she refused to give up, no matter the cost. Every day she looked ahead to the days yet to come.
Pictures:
I know, only one picture was allowed. hehe But since I'm not a contestant I figured I'd post more than one and explain each. The first one is the only good shot I could get with Midnight in there. Her hand looks out of place but I thought it could represent her blowing on it to keep warm since she was by the fire. The second one represents the sentence that says she looked ahead to the days to come. Looks like she's by the fire and just gazing forward into the future. And of course the cave in the background to represent where she was staying to rest. I guess the story was harder than I thought. hehe But yeah, enjoy!

Lol Pitchforks, you ladies can put those down now, especially you Lokii. :P
Yeah, I was to lazy last night to post, since there is a lot to post, and the fact that I was already half asleep before I realized material was ready to be posted. So yes, it is my fault. :P
Anyway, I don't think you guys really care, so I'll get on with what I came here for!!! This week we had a lot of work submitted by our contestants, I was surprised with how much enthusiasm we received with them, even though this assignment was hated the most out of all of them.
I'm going to only be showing 1 image from the compilation of each contestant, links will be given for the others, but the ones I show on the forums are the ones I enjoyed the most from each contestant. Also, I will not be posting every single Cover letter for the image, for thats just way to much text in one post for someone who wants to live to read. :P
So, here we are, assignment 9 results!!!
Tasha Darke
Dear Sir or Madam,
Having starred and supported in a number of notable roles in the recent past, I believe I am an outstanding choice for a part in your film, “Gossip Girlies: At the beach!”. My work in the TV series “Caywatch” means I am accustomed to extensive time in the sun and working with teams of actors and actresses to accomplish complex and demanding shots in minimal time. My previous film roles have covered a broad spectrum of genres, from romance in “Sunjiang District 90210” to thriller in “Silence of the Yaks”, and as a result I feel I can bring a valuable and distinct depth to the role. It would be a privilege to audition for you in the near future.
Yours Faithfully
Tasha Darke

Gossip Girlie's: At the beach!
Picture:
I really like the party aspect of this picture and the overall feel of a teenage movie in the shot. However, I must warn you that Asian Actress is stealing a little of your spotlight, for she is stunning! I also like the couple in the background that isn't distracting, but also adds a narrative backstory to the shot.
Cover Letter:
Silence of the Yaks!! LOL. Great puns in your cover letter. No Grammatical Mistakes, no errors. However, I must say that for such a teenage movie, you really didn't need to write down your complex acting chops, and should have focused more may be on your more commercial films... because that is what the director would look for first.
Eden’s Web
Picture:
A little plain. I enjoy the idea that Mother Nature is "creating," the world, or whatever it is she's creating... but apart from that, the scenery is meh, and as a ranger, I think you would have had the better armor choices (leafy ones) for this shoot. Not your best work.
Cover Letter:
Simple Effective Clean. I really liked how you incorporated your award winning Poison Ivy Film. I also likes how you revealed a little of your characters story through the cover letter, and makes it so that the director has some interest in meeting you in real life.
Judge 2:
Gossip Girlies - Its so cute. I love the colors you incorporated in this, along with the many varieties of "teens" in here. Nice touch with the small teasing in here, and the couple in the background. I can defiantly say that this picture produces such a teen vibe and would be good for a summer block buster. Its nice to show you've been in similar or helpful roles in the past, but also tell what your perks are as well.
Eden's Web - I like the term "wildlife lover" in here because your profession really does help with this role and it was cute touch you added. I do like the pose and the idea you have in here...but I don't believe it as lush and green as "Eden's Web" would have it. Also your Druids or another armor with leaf materials would of worked here, other than your underwear. I know it asks that your almost in the nude, but thinking outside of the box helps a lot.
Overall - A little short on the submission this week, but they did have an option to do as many as they could. I don't the minimum would of helped her here. You need to broaden your horizons a little and go for the more challenging roles. One more wouldn't of hurt you, and trying something like Grenth X or Kill Jill wouldn't of set you out of your comfort zone. Although you submissions were a real treat, just wished to see more of you.
Judge 3:
Gossip Girlies:
This shot had a lot going on, and it seemed to work in your favor. Normally when there is a crowd it starts to become to distracting, but here it didn't. Especially the couple in the background, sitting there enjoying themselves. Was a good touch to add to the overall image. The writeup looks like you put a little to much "unf!" in it. As if you where trying to hard to impress the director, which in some cases, is a bad idea because it's easily noticed.
Eden's Web:
I felt that in a shot like this, you could have come up with a better way to portray Tasha. After all, she is a ranger, and rangers armors wrap around the "I love nature" theme, for example 15k Druids, regular Druids, etc. Also the "drop" seems to be more distracting then anything. As for the writeup, this one was executed well. Short, sweet and to the point, not over the top, but still adding enough information to keep the director interested.
Rosemary Marron
I was absolutely astounded after reading the summary for your film production Grenth X. Here is truly a horror masterpiece in the making! I feel that I would fit the female role perfectly - as a former ritualist, I draw strength from Grenth and am very comfortable in the dark. I do not mind working long hours, especially if it means I'll be able to spend most of my time awake at night. I am also able to act scared for long periods of time, since my talent lies in being able to act diverse emotions thoroughly.
Included is an example shot of what I am capable of. After a long and arduous journey through the gates of madness and back, she finally stumbles upon the statue of Grenth. Seeing her comrades lying on the ground in front of the statue, she looks around fearfully, not seeing that the real surprise is always one step behind her.
Thank you for your time and looking forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely yours,
Rosemary Marron

Judges Comments:
Judge 1:
Cover Letters: In general, I found a few mistakes that might hurt your chances in auditions. The greetings and the lack of examples in some of the cover letters. A few are very well written , notably Dwayna's and the Beach Girl one (title is WAY too long). Overall, weren't bad at all, but not exceptional either. I must applaud you for applying for them all, really shows your hard work in trying to make it as an actress.
The Turqouise Queen: Normally, the closed eye ritualist pose with weapons is very annoying, but you made it work. She looks focused, determined, royal... almost unlike the Rosemary we always see. The making of the next Meryl Streep!
The Isolated: Looooove the pose. VERY reminiscent of Carrie during her rampage. The poor city is burning, and your taking a stroll. However, as a whole image, this isn't as much as a stand out as, say, Kill Jill. It's good, but not amazing.
Eden's Web: Very nice background. The swamp really gives the mother nature feel, but as mother nature herself, you should be at ease in the swamp. Right now you look almost like you're trying to escape from the swamp... just a small posing problem.
Dwayna's Kiss: Not very good. The pose is very theatrical, in a bad way. It's like the tragic hand sweep bad actresses do to symbolize sadness. In truth, it just looks clinched, and artistically false. The male actor does a better job at portraying emotion than Rosemary does.
Grenth X: Rosemary almost looks happy to be facing the god of death here. It's a little unnerving to see her smile (might just be the angle), but the background is beautiful, and the use of the spirit is great. Nice awareness of colours as well.
Kill Jill: Best Kill Jill picture. Easily. Possibly even best picture this week. This is just sensational, flawless. Captures the fight mid scene, just really, no words to say about this. You should be proud.
The Grandmother: Awesome use of the glasses. They actually change you appearance so that you do look like a sophisticated Mafia leader. The pose is mediocre, makes you look old and bored, but I really am amazed at your ability to change your appearance to suit your roles. Very Glenda Jackson -esque of you.
Gossip Girlies: At the Beach!: NOES, why the glasses?! Love the pose, love the weirdly coloured elementalist (I'm not being racist, she looks abnormal, her pose as well, like a kangaroo). The struggle between the male and Rosemary is nice, but why the glasses?! Do you swim with sunglasses on?
Overall: I guess its easy to say that you did outstanding. Its hard to do 8 shots and cover letters, and it does show that you worked hard. In general, most of these are mediocre, but there are a couple of brilliant shots that just really make your submission THE stand out. And, I think Quantum Tarantula called me yesterday asking why you he hasn't scouted you earlier. You're on your way to stardom girl.
Judge 2: First thing I noticed is that you weren't very clear on the title, and who it was by when making the letter. Its not very professionally when you clearly just hand in a letter that is assigned to anyone. It was a little mistake, but it could get people confused. Look over your entries before you turn them in.
Turquoise Queen - I really liked this picture that you sent with it, and you added your own taste by the helpful little hints of your talent in there. I also liked your thinking including a heavy weapon for the Queen. Nice touch with the castle, and only adding your armor as the "turquoise" in your shot. I really do see a strong, independent women here and I would defiantly bet your one to look over for the part.
The Isolated - At first I was confused by the look on Rosemary's face when I first saw it. But looking over the script and your letter I can see how it would fit. It looks like a demented look of a crazy person, and thats exactly what the role is asking for. I love the background of the burning city, perfect location for this shot.
Eden's Web - This shot was okay for me. It has that colorful feel of the wilderness around me, it didn't really catch me all that well. But I do like that you incorporated in both your letter and your picture that you can go through an extreme, swamp water or not. Directors are defiantly looking for that attitude and commitment.
Dwayna's Kiss - The picture is a little bland. It only shows only but a little emotion that this picture has to offer. But I like that continue to show your commitment about being okay and work your hardest in a death scene.
Grenth X - Love the angle in this picture, with Grenth ghost looming over you. I love the idea, and it fits the role well. The atmosphere is a nice touch, and makes me wonder what else Death has planned for her. Hope she can escape again.
Kill Jill - Haha I love this shot. Not only is your pose wonderful, but your companion is committed as well as you are. I do see a reference to another movie, that just works perfectly with this. Your shown your skill in sword fighting. Not sure about the location though.
The Grandmother - You couldn't of picked a better place for a drug scene movie, looking over the witches pot of the Halloween festival. Although it may look random it does have a perfect undertone. You bring up you independent and strong roles again, and I couldn't agree more. You have looked like the damsel in distress before but I think you have a better genre that working perfectly with.
Gossip Girlies - Its cute and fun and has all the corniness of a team drama would have. I like the idea of the teenagers dancing in the water. The ship in the background is a little off, and you could of done well without the glasses. You did express your concerns with the script, you included any way. Your commitment staggered in this last picture because you showed your flaws. I don't think this would be the best picture for you.
Overall - Some looked rough and sloppy (Dwayna's Kiss and Gossip) but some just excelled beyond our expectations (Kill Jill and Turquoise Queen). I believe you are made for the strong independent type of movies from the look of things. Also remember what you are writing and keep it consistent. Directors and writers, although might not look it, could be comrades. So if you aren't consistent and you show two different people different things they won't think you as reliable. Remember, also, to look over your letters.
Judge 3:
Overall:
I'm going to be lazy, and not comment each individual image, rather just make a general comment, about all of them in one. Most of your shots seemed to be perfect, to almost perfect. Some of them have mistakes, and stuff you could improve on, but thats something that happens if you have to submit so many shots in that amount of time. Your "The Isolated" shot, is hawt hawt hawt. I couldn't have seen it done better in any other way. The angle you used, the background, and the armor, adds to this shot and makes it the best one I've seen for this movie. Your "Kill Jill" shot was awesome, I love the mesmer in the white armor. Makes me wana make a mesmer with that armor. Also, I have to mention that in your 'Grenth X' shot, Rose looks gorgeous in that armor, I think it might just be that angle that does it again, but she still does! Overall, you did well this assignment. I'm impressed that someone actually did all 8 of the options, and still managed to make all of them look good.

Queen Kitiara
Casting: The Isolated
Dr. Mr. Spieldburger,
With the unique experience of already having acted in destructing sets; I believe I am a great candidate for your new film. I have proven myself capable of emotionally draining acting in “Scorned Queen” and you know I can keep doing it while the set burns to the ground. It’s obviously going to cost a ton of money to produce a movie like this; you can count on me to be a “sure thing” when it comes time to deliver!
I enclosed a picture for you. I felt this gothic setting evokes the dark and troubled turmoil that emits from within. My stance is casting my moody disposition; foreshadowing the horrible destruction to come.
Hope to audition for you soon,
Queen Kitiara

Judge 1:
Eden's Web:
Excellent Shot. The armor is STUNNING, and I never thought that was possible, to make a warrior so... mother nature like. The pet Dragon adds the level of mysticism needed in the movie, and overall a great shot. Your cover letter is a little wordy, and has many unnecessary comments. You didn't have to describe how you enclosed a shot, nor did you have to include so many exclamation marks. Yes you have to show personality, but it is still a formal letter. Too many exclamations can distract the casting agent to really identify with your past experiences.
Grenth X:
Not Good, not bad. I like your pose, but not your armor colour choice. For a scary movie, I think you should have worn something less girly and something more gloomy... as if you've been rolling in dirt trying to escape from Grenth. As well, the light above your head is very distracting and makes me more drawn to Grenth than to you. Sadly, this cover letter again again is a little too much information. You have all the basic information in the first paragraph which is great, but some flaws in the 2nd. By identifying that you think Grenth is an amazing actor (... "with one of his talents") you may already give the wrong impression to the director. What happens if the director actually dislikes Grenths acting? Then you lost your job.
Kill Jill:
Great concept, mediocre execution. Some of the actors are facing the wrong direction... the one on the far left looks to be looking at the one in the back. And the one in the back looks motionless and uninterested. I love the choice of background though, and your armor is very very fitting of a female assassin. Again, the cover letter is just not formal enough. And the director may have been so busy that he "didn't see your Superstar of the week award win."
The Isolated: I really enjoy the spooky factor you brought into this shot and that tree in the background is awesome. You look positively emo and about to kill me, so I probably shouldn't criticize this shot >.> On your cover letter, I found it better this time you made it shorter. It has character, but still a little too informal.
The Turquoise Queen: The picture is stunning. Though it lacks the weapon factor that the casting director is looking for, I believe you carried off the royalty look very well. I'm glad you added the missing information in your cover letter.
Overall - So so this week. I feel if I were a director you would probably get Eden's Web, but your competition would most likely win the other roles. You have to remember to contain your personality a little because directors like to see your malleability more than what you already have.
Judge 2:
Eden's Web - It shows the natural setting of a very lush environment, but you could cut down on the green by adding a little color into. It could of been your intention to have your armor blend in and disappear, but it almost makes you disappear. Although the armor thing really isn't that bad, its just a little detail. The pet dragon is a nice touch as well as the armor. You gave past experiences in other flicks you were in that related to this picture, great job communicating and relating.
Grenth X - The light is so bright! Other than that annoying light, its a good photo, and I like the look on your face. It shows that she is scared and she knows death is after her.I really do like your consistency of tell where you took the photo, thats good because the director might choose your place for the movie.
Kill Jill - Hehe, this made me giggle from the almost naked assassins circling you. Its not a bad shot, but I would of picked a different location, it almost contrasts with your armor. You defiantly showed both in your letter and picture you have a wide list of weapons you can use and that helps you.
The Isolated - Wow, what a creepy setting you have here. When I was thinking of a a creepy village I didn't think of this, but it grows on me with the silhouettes of the trees. You sort of have a creepy look yourself. But one problem, you never really showed how psychotic your powers and you are. Would of liked to see that crazy side as well.
The Turquiose Queen - Even though you have a rough, warrior woman in you...you have your own type of glamour in you. It works here with this stance. And I like the turquoise armor you brought along with you. IT shows you have class and the control of a Queen. The castle shot is great, as well. Even though we know your great with weapons, by not incorporating a weapon here, you shown this certain director what its liked to have you armed. Words alone cant help you there.
Overall - I liked only some of your entries this week, but not all. You had some strong pictures that showed how far you came (Turquoise Queen and Kill Jill) but you brought back the old Kitiara but repeating old mistakes (Grenth X). Details is what we are looking for now, and you need to pay attention to those. Your writing part exceeded again though, and that skill alone might win some parts for you over just a great picture from another contestant. Now lets work on getting both of those right.
Judge 3:
Overall:
Firstly, I loved your write-ups. They where different and attacked with a different attitude each time, which made them that much more fun to read! Your writing skills have improved along with your shot taking, kudos to you. My favorites that you submitted this week, are your 'Eden's Web', 'The Isolated', and 'Turquoise Queen'. I'm sure you put a lot of worthy investments in these just to prove that you are worthy to star in these movies! On the down side, some of your shots could use some tune up. Most of them you cut yourself off at some point, where your full body being visible could have done a possible better job. Theres only one where I have an issue with, and that would be your "Kill Jill" shot. The point of this one, as you got for the most part is, looking sexy whilst in the heat of battle, the assassins are nearly naked, but Kiti is all dressed up in battle gear, maybe less armor would have worked here? overall, a good performance for the week.
Ashling Fey
6. Kill Jill
As a great fan of such movies as Samurai Friction and Reservoir Hogs, and having held supporting roles in some such films of Canthan origin - Verses and Youngboy to name but two - I would be honoured to be considered for the role of the female protagonist in your upcoming movie, Kill Jill. Having been personally trained at Shing Jea Monastery, I am well-versed in hand-to-hand combat with many forms of weaponry, and with none at all, and would relish the physical challenge of action scenes, not to mention the thrill of working opposite many trained assassins.

Grenth X
Dwayna's Kiss
Eden's Web
The Isolated
The Turquoise Queen
Judges Comments:
Judge 1:
Cover Letters: Because all your letters were highly similar, I didnt want to repeat my comments for every single audition. Your cover letters are concise and efficient, but lack certain important details. For example, be sure to greet the reader/director, for its just normal courtesy. As well, instead of just listing past experiences, actually type out examples (which you have done for some, but not others). Some grammatical error ( I am confident "OF" my ability...) so just watch for detail.
The Turquoise Queen: STUNNING picture. WHOA, just wooooow. Your shots are stellar, lady. The lighting is great, and your pose is whoa. However, now that I think of it, its a really cool shot, but it really doesn't identify with either royalty or fighting against invaders... I mean, the shot is just you holding a sword in a cool manner against Turquoise lighting.
The Isolated: oh dear, never mess with an angry ritualist, she'll pawn yo azz. the background is nice, and your pose is quite... theatrical. However, I question your armor choice. In terms of cover letter, this was probably the best of the worst.
Eden's Web: Mediocre shot, especially compared to your other brilliant shots. The background is fine, nothing special, and I like your armor choice. Pose is fine, but what bothers me is that your pet cut of half of your legs making the picture a little off. Almost as if, the pet bit off your leg, and your about to balance on him >.>
Dwayna's Kiss: I think this is sensational. Its so simple, but so brilliant. I have never seen someone make a male GW character so sombre before, and the ele truly looks sad. And Ashling actually looks like a great Shakespearean actress conveying their personal sadness but still living strong and in your case, comforting your lover. Soooo beautiful.
Grenth X: Scary azz ritualist. Great concept, would make a very nice poster. However, I think the space in the middle is a little too much, so a tighter space between the characters would have been better. But otherwise, great ambiance, great background, great colours. Solid job.
Kill Jill: RESERVOIR HOGS! 10 points goes to Ashling! This shot is not my favorite, but definitely not your worst. I like the pose, the arrogant assassins, and Ashling's defiant pose. I'm excited for the action scene that would happen next (Ashling casts VwK, Assassins chop themselves to death!!), but not your best shot.
Overall: I'll be honest and say that I am a little disappointed on the written part, but your shots alone represent your growth in this competition and your talent. Please be aware of the writing aspect.... if there are any more >.>

Remember you are writing too directors. Notice these little details and read through the assignment until you know what your doing. You didn't director which director you were writing too, it could be confusing.
Turquoise Queen - Again you amazing me with lighting, and boy did it work here. I love the ambiance of the pink along with your blue, as well as your location. You are elegant and glamorous but do you have the heart for this role? You do look great with a sword, I give you that and you do have an elegance with of a queen...but I just didn't see the royalty here. Probably by adding a castle?
The Isolated - Lighting and color is great in here again, which makes everything look at you and your expression. I loved the old ruins you have here that should be the village. But the plot consisted that the main role was a little pyschotic in a way, when here you look lost and confused.
Eden's Web - Lots and lots of greenery, you almost look camouflaged, it wouldn't hurt to add a little color into this. Nice touch with your pet, incorporate Mother Tyria by controlling animals as well. Liked your dedication to working in extreme weather, and with or without clothes. It's a nice touch and shows your directors/writers your dedication.
Dwayna's Kiss - I like the look of the ominous grey atmosphere in the background and the color of the clothes to show the mood of things. The interaction between the character's look a little cliche, but I guess romantic movies have that kind of touch to it. In your letter you went on that you were perfect, physically for the part, but what about emotionally. Can you live up to the standards of a perfect death scene, as well as working with you costar and the emotions?
Grenth X - Loved the lighting here, especially on you. Its almost as if Ashling is telling Death to go ahead and do his worst. Nice angle and placements. But I thought it was Death after her? In both your letter and your shot, it blew me away because you always came off as romantic and innocent but your look here shows you can play a bad guy...but is that what the director is looking for?
Kill Jill - Love this shot. I love the black/white, good/bad all the red setting of Kanineng. It all balances out and I want to see what else will happen after this. In your letter, you showed your experience and the emotion and physical demand was a challenge that your worth taking. Great Job!
Overall - It was kind of lacking on the written part. The writing almost looked like procedure rather than showing what you wanted and shown that you were worth it. The pictures were okay and some did stand out (Kill Jill and Grenth X). You have a great eye for color and lighting and it works well for you and probably capture some hearts of directors and writers. But you need to watch out for the little details and reread the storyline.

All I can say here is "Wow". I loved so many of your shots, then when it finally got time to read, I was disappointed. I'm glad that these where labeled, otherwise I wouldn't have known, whom these where directed too. Remember, these are supposed to be letters to the director, meaning, introduction, body, conclusion, in your writings. Back to your shots. Some of these just make me want to stop judging right now, and go make an Ashling look-alike Ritualist, and go buy the armors, just because shes that hawt. Kill Jill, and Dwayna's Kiss are the best you submitted, and those are the two that make me want to create a miniature Ashling, although you can't get much more smaller then Ashling is can you? :P
Yes, this weeks submission was even to large to fit into one post!

Oops, I guess I spent so much time worrying about my pictures, it didn't occur to me to expand too much on the writing side. *feels stupid*
Oh well! What's done is done!
Great shots this week, everybody - Perynne, your Kill Jill shot is fantastic, and Kitiara - I know how hard it is to work with animals - really impressed by your Eden's Web shot. Tasha - your Eden's Web shot I love too! What a great idea!
Phew, what a week. If I go out this round, I won't feel bad - because I know everybody worked so hard on their shots, and it really shows!
